This is a concept creature that once lived in the polar region of our world… (yeah, sure…). I wanted to give it the mood of the stillness of a polar sunset.

Wgen I saw the link to this, I though it was a penguin.

Now I see it isn't.
Lovely work. Nice polar colours, and I like the 'camera in surface'-effect you got there, with us looking both above and beneath the water. The ice is well painted too, although it looks a bit soft here and there, like a marshmallows.

Great image, I like it a lot - reminds me of B-Movie posters (which is a good thing).
If I had to nitpick something I'd have extended the canvas above his head about 1 cm to give him a little more room.
